The Pathfinder is a John Welford designed sailboat with the plans purchased by Bill Sammons in 2007. Bill started work on the Pathfinder but sadly passed away without completing the project.  His widow gifted the part built boat and materials to the WBAC. The members continued with the construction and in 2019 the partially completed boat was purchased by WBAC members Tom and Sheila Sparks. Work has now been completed and the Pathfinder named "Iona" was launched at the Great Tinaroo Raid in July 2021.
